- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Sometimes using ladders (not taller than 4 feet) for dusting and washing furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dust and polishes light fixtures
- Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- Gathers and empties trash
- Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- Refills supplies
- Keeps janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintains equipment in good working order
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients and co-workers
- Complies with all company and client safety, security, and quality standards
